JON LORD and CRY FREE together in concert for the 10th time!

Jon Lord and the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band are to go on stage together for the 10th time on 18 September 2010. The location of the "anniversary" concert is none other than the Palace of Arts, Budapest, the venue that first saw the Lord of the Hammond and Cry Free performing together. Another similarity is that just like last March, the audience are to expect a sensational premiere this September again. Back then it was the Eastern-European debut of the classic Concerto for Group and Orchestra, on 18 September it will be the world premiere of Lord's 1975 solo effort, Sarabande suite. As we know, the Maestro has never before performed this album live in its entirety, although it is considered his best work by many. Thus the concert in Budapest is certain to go down in rock 'n roll history. But the "Sarabande songs" are not the only fresh material to look forward to. Jon Lord and Cry Free are to present two "new" Deep Purple songs, neither of which has ever been part of the Maestro's shows in Hungary. Thus the concert promises to be a real crowd pleaser, if you still don't have your ticket, here's where you can book it.
