SENSATIONAL NEWS! Deep Purple star weekend with Cry Free featuring Jon Lord and Ian Paice16 February 2010, 01:42
On 25 March JON LORD is scheduled to visit the country again, this time introducing his magical world of music to the city of Győr, situated in the western countryside of the nation. The great artist will be supported once again by a 70-piece symphony orchestra on the classical side, and -for the 8th time -by Cry Free, the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band on the rock 'n roll side. As Győr's Richter Hall holds no more than 500 spectators, it's advised for die-hard fans to purchase tickets as soon as possible.
As an incredible organisational coincidence, the next day, on 26 March, another legendary founding member of Deep Purple, drummer IAN PAICE will be performing at the same venue. Paice, who has been a constant member of the band for 42 years, is going to appear at the International Percussionist Festival of Győr doing his drum clinic as special guest star, but he also happily accepted the organisers' offer to join Cry Free for a few songs in their set following his drum presentation.
