Jon Lord's official website has recently published an interview in which the legendary keyboardist/composer looks back on 2009, a busy year for him with new recordings and 20 concerts, 7 of which he performed with the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band. The great artist mentions Cry Free too in the review of his 10-day Russian Tour, which he did in October backed up by the Hungarian musicians. He talks about the extreme challenge that it meant to work with three different orchestras and conductors within such a short period of time, and then he goes on to say,
"It’s also why I used a band that I knew – Cry Free from Hungary. I’d previously done well with them in Budapest and in Bratislava. I enjoyed working with them. They’re good lads and they make a good sound."
