The video editing of the concert film of last December's DEEP PURPLE HISTORY show in Budapest has been started recently. The second night of the international mini tour featuring Irish-Austrian DP tribute Purpendicular (Ian Paice's band) and Hungarian Deep Purple cover Cry Free (Jon Lord's band) at Crazy Mama was announced "Concert of the Year" by the management of the club. As the special show was also a crowd favourite, the fans will probably count back the days till the editing of the material recorded with the help of three cameras is finished. The future of the film has not been decided yet, but it will surely be available to the fans in one way or another. You can already find an appetizer here, which comes from the end of concert jam involving members of both bands. It is Highway Star performed by Purpendicular featuring vocalist Attila Scholtz and guitarist Oliver Lee from Cry Free. Related news is that the Western-European leg of THE DEEP PURPLE HISTORY TOUR has been scheduled. The two bands are starting the weekend at one of Austria's most prominent clubs, Sound Theatre in Wels on 10 December, before travelling on to Germany to play Highlander in Katzwang near Nürnberg.
