Sensational Cry Free news! The Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band1 January 2009, 16:54

Sensational Cry Free news! The Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band have been offered to perform with legendary Purple organist Jon Lord at his Hungarian shows on March 4 and 5, 2009. Along with some of his solo numbers the Lord of the Hammond will be performing the groundbreaking Concerto for Group and Orchestra, originally written for Deep Purple and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra back in 1969. The piece is considered to be the first musical act involving a rock band and a classical music orchestra. 40 years later in the role of the "Group" we find Jon Lord and Cry Free. The Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band feel truly honoured to be an important part of the great musician's performances, which promise to be the most high standard collaboration ever in Hungary between a world famous rock icon and a tribute band. There have been negotiations about further tour dates with the same act both in Hungary and abroad.
