We are currently working on the next part of our retrospective report to let you know about all the important events in the band's life. So the summary of the year 2008 is coming soon.However, there is something that allows no delay. We proudly report that Deep Purple has got involved in a Cry Free event! The special concert, the aim of which was to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the inspiring band, took place in Budapest on 12 September, and loosely revisited the most important musical milestones of the four Purple decades with the help of Hungary's most prominant musicians as guests. One of the absolute highlights of the show was Deep Purple's virtual appearance in the form of a video message sent exclusively to Cry Free and its audience for the occasion. It was projected on a large screen at the end of a short film featuring all members ever in Deep Purple, with the current line-up closing the little documentary, of course. In their message they greeted the Hungarian followers and their fans, thanking them for all the support, and wishing everyone a wonderful evening, as you can check for yourself below. The audience response was surprise first and going crazy afterwards!
