The summer is bringing no rest to the members of Cry Free this10 June 2004
The summer is bringing no rest to the members of Cry Free this year, either. The guys are more than active in their DP tribute band as well as in their other formations. The Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band are currently preparing for the various summer challenges (concerts, festivals, biker meetings -see Concerts link) with individualized sets. There are arrangements to continue the monthly club at an open air venue too, but at the moment the biggest buzz is around a festival of tribute bands that is most likely to take place on 3 July at an as yet unknown location. Besides Cry Free, the bill is to include Gary Moore Jam Band, Session (Led Zeppelin tribute), and Doors Revival Band. As soon as the time and place of the event are confirmed, we will let you know here on the site. The Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band were also scheduled to play the famous Sziget festival on 10 August, but after the organisers of Metal Hammer Stage had had the management of Sziget accepting their programme including Cry Free, major Hungarian record labels forced their bands (some of them really sticking out in style) through to the bill, thus at the moment it seems that finally the guys will not get an opportunity to play there this year. We will inform you in case there is a positive change in the situation. However, the band are sure to play the internationally well-known Alsóörs Harley-Davidson Festival organised by HOG for the fourth time in a row. A Cry Free appearance at another big international bike meeting will take place in Sirok on 28 July. For the rest of the summer shows see Concerts.
