The debut of the "new line-up"22 September 2015, 18:30
However, we have to announce another change in the line-up as well, though not permanent, only temporary, but definitely applying to the autumn season. Tamás Tatai, one of Jon Lord's favourite drummers in his series of solo shows between 2009 and 2011, has started work abroad, where he is to stay for the following 3 months.
It certainly didn't seem like an easy job for the band to fill his shoes, but we're proud to say that we managed to do that with more of a success than we had expected! The new (substitute) drummer is called Szergej Kaminszki (see photo), and the outstanding young talent is a fanatic follower of the Paice-Bonham-Ward "holy trinity" of drummers, making it the ideal solution for the band to hire him as their "6th member" to take over the sticks from Tommy if needed. Szergej is not completely new to the band as he has previously performed in classic rock shows alongside singer Attila Scholtz in a project called Celebration Days (see video link below).
The 20-year-old has been playing with Hungary's Uriah Heep tribute band Heep Freedom for a few months too, where he could also utilise his special drum kit, a real rarity, a steel Ludwig from the 1970's (of which he owns two full sets!), the kind of instrument that can be heard on all the early Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin recordings.
Both Tibor and Szergej debuted in Cry Free last Saturday at Budapest's Muzikum Club to critical acclaim.
