On November 18th, 2003 Deep Purple visited the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to promote their new album, Bananas. Cry Free had been invited to the afterparty following the Purple gig. The aftershow passes had been sent to the band by legendary frontman, Ian Gillan through Cry Free's European promoter, Gerrit Raue. Gerrit, who is good friends with the members of Deep Purple, travelled all the way from Germany to join the Hungarian Purple event. After the show the group had the opportunity to drink with, and talk to bass player Roger Glover, and guitarist Steve Morse. The "party" continued till dawn at the hotel where the band were staying, and the guys in Cry Free were lucky enough to meet Ian Gillan, and Ian Paice, too besides Roger, all of whom wished their Hungarian followers good luck in their career. The next morning, before Deep Purple set off for the Scandinavian leg of the tour, Cry Free got to say farewell to the band, during which some photos were taken featuring members of the two groups as well.
