Island Festival jam followed by Deep Purple "afterparty" at Crazy Mama19 August 2013, 15:02
Cry Free are rocking the last days of the summer hard, jamming at open air festivals all over their native Hungary. Recently they have performed their "Purple Zeppelin Jam" double classic rock show at one of the biggest European events called Island Festival in Budapest, which won the "Best Festival of Europe" title last year. Cry Free and their friendly partner band Zep Session gave such a stormy set of classics to the fans that thousands were drawn to the Tribute Stage to do their bit of headbanging, stage diving and crowd surfing, activities rarely seen at blues-rock events (see photo). Tonight the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band are headlining an event in the capital, where they are to play a set dedicated to Deep Purple's recent visit to Hungary, so fans can expect a great dose of the current Deep Purple concert programme including tracks from their new album "Now What?!", but Cry Free will also make sure to add some of those DP classics that cannot be expected to be played by the present day Purple incarnation.
