New-look cryfree.hu to celebrate 10th anniversary of website27 June 2011, 23:32

The reason for the long process is that it is not only the surface that required a change but the underlying structure as well, because in 2001, when the first version of the Cry Free web page was launched, the expectations that a rock band's site had to meet were totally different than now. The other reason why it has taken so long to actually launch the new page is that in the meantime we have constantly been working on the active site as well to maintain all the qualities (being up-to-date, colourful, and interactive) that make it stand out from the ordinary band homepages. This means we have been working on two websites at the same time, updating and improving them simultaneously for long months, but now the time has come to finally put the sleek new site into orbit so that it can replace the old one for good.
It would be false to think, however, that the cry Free website has remained in its original form to this day. As the older fans of the band might still remember, the first version dating back to 2001 was greatly improved a year later, and was given an all new look in 2004. Ever since then we have used a great deal of innovations to keep up with the times, but the basic structure has remained the same, significantly limiting our possibilities to develop. Today we have launched a website with all the features required in 2011 in terms of both programming and design, a step which will surely prove to be a milestone in the history of cryfree.hu.
The anniversary could also be a good opportunity to present a few interesting statistics, like the one that shows the visitors of cryfree.hu in the past two years from nearly 100 countries, from more than 100,000 separate computers, with about half a million clicks on the different pages of the site. Although the majority of these visits have been from Hungary and Europe, a lot of visits have been from such exotic locations as Brazil, Japan, Australia, Columbia, Turkey, the Philippines, Chile, China, or even Tanzania.
But we don't want to hold you back with more such data which might only be interesting for us, instead we want to let you explore the exciting new world of cryfree.hu for yourselves with its several novelties in terms of both visuals and written content. We also wish to let you know that the long line of developments and improvements is not even near the end, we have just arrived at a level which we already consider good enough to share.
Long Live cryfree.hu!
