Cry Free - Deep Purple's Favourite Tribute
Although this double concert might seem attractive enough to travel to the south of Hungary even from as far as Austria or Germany, we also recommend our Austrian and German fans something else that doesn't require as much travelling. The Western-European leg of "The Deep Purple History" tour featuring Irish-Austrian DP tribute Purpendicular and Cry Free that started in Hungary last year will take place on 10 and 11 December 2010 at the Sound Theatre in Wels, Austria, and The Highlander in Nürnberg-Katzwang, Germany. The concept that takes the audience on a journey through time from 1968 to 2010, stopping at every important milestone in Deep Purple's long history, is brought to them by two of the most authentic DP tributes in the world. The two acts that are regular backing bands for Deep Purple members such as Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Nick Simper, and Joe Lynn Turner, are probably the best choice for this unique concept. In their three-hour Purple show they present a set of songs that no original DP lineup could have ever played in its entirety. To get an idea about what to expect when the two bands go crazy together, check out this end-of-concert jam from last year.

Related news is that "The Deep Purple History" DVD, which is the recording of the 2009 Budapest show featuring Cry Free and Purpendicular is ready to be released and will be purchasable at the venues in Austria and Germany. The DVD will also be available for ordering from the website very soon.
