3 fantastic Cry Free events within a fortnight, and 2 amazing videos featuring the band with members of Deep Purple11 October 2010, 00:54

But the band are most proud of the "anniversary" Jon Lord/Cry Free performance of course, and of the love and support of the great artist who now refers to Cry Free on stage simply as "My boys". The relationship between the legendary keyboardist and the Hungarian Deep Purple Cover Band is ever warmer, and the respect is mutual too. Lord, who has always spoken highly of the musicians in Cry Free, this time went as far as telling them, "I haven't played with many better musicians than you".
Although 10th in a row, the concert of September 18, 2010 was not just one among many. The world premiere of the Sarabande suite, which had promised to be special, did turn out to be rather unique indeed. As this wonderfully colourful piece which was written 35 years ago finally came to life in a rearranged new form three and a half decades later, it shone like a beautiful star on the night sky. And if you are into nice (and true!) words like that, we recommend you Rasmus Heide's review on Lord's official website, jonlord.org. Heide is the chief editor of the site, and also editor of the greatest fan page of Deep Purple, thehighwaystar.com. As one of the biggest fanatics of the band in the world, he flew to Budapest from his native Denmark to see the show and to give a really thorough report on this historical event. You can read it here.
Although Heide wrote a very fine review of the event, which is a pleasure to read, no words can really describe music the way it can express itself. Therefore we did a little research to try and find a complete video recording of the concert so that Jon Lord fans around the world who could not be present at this amazing premiere now would be able to witness it virtually. And of course it is a great chance for those present as well to relive these magical moments. We managed to get hold of the material, uploaded it all on the net for you, and here it is. Enjoy!
But this is by far not the only special video upload we have done recently. The Jon Lord/Cry Free concerts of Moscow 2009 and Imst 2010 can also be viewed now on cryfree.hu as well as the complete video of the band's Budapest concert last May featuring ex-Purple bassist Nick Simper on "Hush". We included that video clip here, but you can find the film of the whole show in our Download section.
If you prefer still images to motion picture, just click on the "Photos" button, and you will find two picture galleries of the latest Jon Lord show (one comprising 200 photos!) plus a great deal more of the other events mentioned above.
And if you are into the REAL thing, come and see the Jon Lord show live in Prague on 24 October, 2010. Tickets are available here.
